Never Losing The Light: Silence, Storms and Stillness

My silence never seems so loud as it does in the storm, yes?

Never Losing The LightBut I have already told you, storms are for building your faith.

Sometimes that requires silence… and waiting.

I understand your fear.

I understand your impatience, too.

You think you are, too, weary. You think your faith will fail.

But, I am here.

I am always beside you.

This storm is for strengthening, for revealing you to you.

Your faith will not fail. On the contrary, it will grow!

Be still now.

(Cease this wailing.)

That is unbelief looking for a voice!

Refuse to lend it yours and it will run back to the pit it crawled from; then faith will rise.

(Come child…)

Take your eyes from this storm and rest them here, on your Father.

I hold the wind and the waves captive. They are Mine to command and they only do My bidding.

When the time is right; I will still them.

Be still now.

This tempest will not destroy you; it is building you.

(Oh, Sweet Heart…)

Come now…

Be still.

You are stronger than you think. Steadier than you know. I built you for storms!

Be still.

In The Silence of The Heart You Speak

You rule the oceans when their waves arise in fearful storms; You speak and they lie still. Psalm 89:9Psalm 89:9

acceptance with joyMother Teresa said, “In the silence of the heart God speaks. If you face God in prayer and silence, God will speak to you… souls of prayer are souls of great silence.”

God speaks in whispers.

Whispers that are barely audible—most of the time.

Whispers that you can hear only with a heart that leans in.

What do I mean by that?

A heart that leans in is a heart that is hungry for, searching for, something MORE.

It is thirsty and desperate.

It is not afraid of silence.

It is willing to be still and wait.

It is wanting to listen and listen hard.

A heart that leans in, wants more than the empty chaos and noise this world offers…

More than its own heart’s futile thoughts and opinions.

A heart that leans into the unseen world—waiting and listening for something more?

That is a heart that seeks.

That is a heart that finds God.

Confident Hope

You rule the oceans when their waves arise in fearful storms; you speak, and they lie still.  You have cut haughty Egypt to pieces. Your enemies are scattered by your awesome power.  The heavens are yours, the world, everything—for you created them all.  You created north and south! Mount Tabor and Mount Hermon rejoice to be signed by your name as their maker!  Strong is your arm! Strong is your hand! Your right hand is lifted high in glorious strength.

Your throne is founded on two strong pillars—the one is Justice and the other Righteousness. Mercy and Truth walk before you as your attendants. Blessed are those who hear the joyful blast of the trumpet, for they shall walk in the light of your presence.  They rejoice all day long in your wonderful reputation and in your perfect righteousness.  You are their strength. What glory! Our power is based on your favor!

Notes To My Caterpillar: Within

I AM here—within.

Always speaking to the ones who have ears to hear; to those who have feet that are willing to obey My word.

Yes, I am hard to hear.

You must get still.

You must shut off the noise.

You must meet Me in silence.

(Something you run from.)

You are terrified of the silence and so you fill your ears with endless noise!

Truly Caterpillar, I am never silent…

I am always speaking to the ones who have ears to hear…

Heart’s stilled in silence, to receive.

I am Your King Caterpillar! Your Dream-Maker! Each and every day you may be received by Me. You are welcomed to an audience with Your King, but you do not set the protocol, I do.

Come humble; penitent.

Come confident; praising.

Come for cleansing, thanking… then, listen.

After all of this, then… then, ask boldly!

Your King Above All Kings,

The Dream-Maker

…help me!

So let us come boldly to the very throne of God and stay there to receive his mercy and to find grace to help us in our times of need.  Hebrews 4:16Hebrews 4:16
English: World English Bible - WEB

16 Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need.

Notes To My Caterpillar: Remember To Whom You Speak

There are limits Caterpillar…

Yes, “Love endures all things…” but—there are limits.

Remember to Whom you speak.

My love for you is limitless.

My patience—is not.

Not with insolence.

Not with stiff-necked rebellion.

My word says, “Be angry, BUT…”

Anger is part of dealing with your grief and loss. Your anger with others, and now finally, your anger with Me. I allow the honest outpouring of grief, frustration, and loss. Venting those things can be healthy. Facing where you really are, is much more preferable to Me, than a posturing-puppet-pretending-piety…

(You know those guys make Me puke!)

Nevertheless, remember to Whom you speak Caterpillar.

You address a King who can slay legions with a glance from the fire in His eyes.

Holiness is not optional.

Your Adonai ~ El Shaddai,

The Dream-Maker

Speak LORD, your servant is listening?

“I’m speechless, in awe—words fail me.
I should never have opened my mouth!
I’ve talked too much, way too much.
I’m ready to shut up and listen.”

Job 40:3-5Job 40:3-5
English: World English Bible - WEB

3 Then Job answered Yahweh, 4 “Behold, I am of small account. What shall I answer you? I lay my hand on my mouth. 5 I have spoken once, and I will not answer; Yes, twice, but I will proceed no further.”
